About the Role

The Regional IT Manager will oversee all IT operations across schools in the APAC region, including Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, as well as the APAC Head Office in North Sydney. This role ensures efficient IT service delivery, drives operational excellence, and supports business transformation through technology adoption, with full accountability for local IT operations, service levels, and budget management. A key focus is building strong relationships with school principals and executive teams.

Responsibilities

  • Represent IT in local management forums and build strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
  • Understand business processes and regional markets to identify and align suitable IT solutions.
  • Act as the key liaison between regional teams and Group IT, ensuring alignment and synergy.
  • Lead regional IT projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Drive strategic programs, governance standards, and participation in steering committees.
  • Manage and optimise regional IT budgets with accurate forecasting and variance control.
  • Oversee IT service delivery, ensuring performance through SLAs, KPIs, and vendor management.
  • Embed ITIL-aligned processes and continuously monitor and address service performance gaps.
  • Improve service processes, maturity, and standardisation in line with Group IT practices.
  • Ensure compliance through strong documentation, governance, risk, asset, and supplier management.

Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise across infrastructure, networks, servers, ERPs, APIs, and data structures.
  • Experience managing IT budgets, including forecasting and cost optimisation.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL-based service operations and performance management.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
  • Strong commercial acumen and governance mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Resilient and adaptable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Collaborative leader with a passion for transformation and continuous improvement.
  • A valid Working with Children Check and willingness to obtain similar background checks for countries you will be engaged to work in.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A willingness to travel, attend meetings and events outside regular hours as required.
