Responsibilities

  • Partner with the General Manager and Guidance Team to deliver an exceptional team member experience.
  • Create a culture where purpose, wellbeing and performance exist in harmony.
  • Attract, develop and retain extraordinary talent.
  • Champion leadership development, succession planning and organisational capability.
  • Foster an inclusive, engaged and values-driven workplace.
  • Ensure best practice across employee relations, compliance and People Operations.
  • Lead the implementation, optimisation and ongoing governance of Workday, partnering with regional and global teams to embed world-class people processes.
  • Support future growth initiatives and help shape the next chapter of the brand.

Requirements

  • Significant senior People Operations leadership experience within luxury hospitality.
  • Experience leading teams in Japan or another major Asian gateway city such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Seoul or Shanghai.
  • A deep appreciation of Japanese culture and the ability to lead with authenticity, respect and curiosity.
  • Experience in hotel openings, organisational transformation or multi-property environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen balanced with genuine care for people.
  • Experience driving the implementation and ongoing optimisation of Workday.
  • Outstanding coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Skills

  • Japanese language skills would be highly regarded, although not essential for the right candidate.
