About the Role

The role involves developing and implementing the FOPS Subsea strategy for offshore Azerbaijan's Absheron Conventional Gas & Condensates field, ensuring operational readiness and safety throughout project phases and into subsequent operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, issue, update, and implement the FOPS Subsea philosophy/strategy.
  • Define and propose actions to implement strategies.
  • Define required FOPS contracts, procedures, and tools for project phase and pre-RFSU.
  • Ensure inspection strategy is implemented before First Gas and for subsequent operations.
  • Coordinate actions with other Project activities.
  • Act as FOPS Technical Authority for all Subsea Production system issues.
  • Ensure FOPS requirements are implemented in subsea equipment design.
  • Participate in design reviews of subsea equipment.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT).
  • Prepare Subsea Operating and Emergency Operating Procedures.
  • Support the Maintenance team for subsea equipment maintenance engineering.
  • Act as CPY representative during offshore operations.
  • Map Subsea Asset Hierarchy, including Inspection and Monitoring Programs (IMR).
  • Establish Subsea Reliability Strategies focusing on deepwater failure modes, HPHT challenges, and marine growth.
  • Support Flow Assurance Strategy development for managing hydrate formation, wax deposition, and scale buildup.
  • Create Subsea Control System Protocols for operating and troubleshooting Subsea Control Modules (SCM).
  • Develop ROV Intervention Tooling Plans, ensuring standard ROV interfaces and sourcing specialized tools.
  • Optimize Subsea Spare Parts Inventory, identifying critical, long-lead spares.
  • Review Umbilical and Flowline Preservation, overseeing fluid filling, pressurization, and monitoring.
  • Configure Subsea Data and Alarm Systems, setting up data acquisition baselines, alarm limits, and monitoring structures.
  • Verify Vendor Handover Documentation, securing data books, certificates, and as-installed layouts.
  • Participate in Operational Readiness Reviews with the offshore operations team.
  • Ensure proper handover of SAPL from Project to Operations, including operation, inspection, and monitoring scope.
  • Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system.
  • Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding HSEQ rules, Company Ethics, and Code of Conduct.
  • Participate in Project reviews and make recommendations.
  • Promote HSE culture within the team and prioritize HSE topics.
  • Ensure HSE standards of Contractors align with TotalEnergies rules.
  • Participate in and assist with the development and implementation of Environmental management and Energy efficiency System processes.
  • Exercise authority to suspend activities posing a threat to life, installation, or environment and notify supervisors.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in Subsea Operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with various contracts, peers, management, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Management of contractors/subcontractors.
  • Strong HSE leadership.
  • Fluent in English.
