About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Dabble, you will play a hands-on role in planning, developing, and delivering complex projects across sports wagering, iGaming, and social media. You will act as a senior technical contributor and mentor, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to build and maintain high-quality frontend and backend systems. You will partner across Product, Design, Data, and Operations to translate business and customer needs into scalable, reliable technical solutions. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys contributing to architectural decisions, driving continuous improvement, and helping shape the future of our platform. While experience in sports betting is highly regarded, we also welcome applications from experienced software engineers across the broader iGaming industry who are excited to bring their expertise to Dabble.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and maintain scalable frontend and backend systems across Dabble’s product ecosystem.
- Build high-quality, maintainable, and performant software that delivers value to customers and the business.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver technical solutions aligned with product goals.
- Contribute to technical discussions relating to software development practices, agile delivery processes, system design, and platform architecture.
- Champion best practices across security, performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and usability.
- Take ownership of projects from design through to deployment, ensuring successful delivery and ongoing support.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, identifying opportunities to improve our products and engineering practices.
- Share knowledge, mentor team members, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across development processes, tooling, and platform capabilities.
- Work collaboratively within a remote-first environment while maintaining a high level of autonomy and accountability.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a software engineering role, with a proven track record of delivering complex software solutions.
- Hands-on experience with React, React Native, and modern frontend technologies.
- Experience developing and maintaining applications across both web and mobile platforms.
- Practical experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and positively influence engineering culture.
- Experience owning projects end-to-end, from solution design through to production deployment and support.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical excellence and business outcomes.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a distributed, remote-first team.
- Experience within sports betting, wagering, or the broader iGaming industry is highly regarded; however, we encourage applications from strong engineering candidates with transferable industry experience.
