About the Role
University Settlement partners with over 40,000 New Yorkers annually to foster healthy, stable, and remarkable lives. Responsibilities
- Assist Group Leaders in creating and implementing engaging activities for up to 20 youth, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Support Group Leaders in designing and implementing lesson plans for multidisciplinary activities, incorporating positive youth development principles and student feedback.
- Serve as a positive role model for youth and maintain professional behavior.
- Work constructively with colleagues and communicate regularly with supervisory staff.
- Maintain responsibility for designated program supplies and proper use of all facilities.
- Assist Group Leaders with completing necessary documentation and administrative tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or HSE preferred, or 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
- Must be at least 16 years of age with up-to-date working papers.
- Ability to commit for the entire season.
- Highly energetic, dynamic, and positive demeanor.
