About the Role

The Internal Company Doctor role is directly under the Chief People Officer (CPO) and is responsible for occupational health matters and the professional management of the occupational safety function at CARIAD. Operational occupational medical care and psychological support are provided by an external service provider. The focus of this role is on consulting and supporting the implementation of legal requirements in occupational health and safety.

Responsibilities

Exchange with the external service provider responsible for occupational medical care for all employees, managers, and executives.
Professional responsibility for occupational safety support at all German locations.
Consultation for Executive Management, managers, works council, and other stakeholders on professional occupational health and safety issues not covered by the external service provider.
Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and group-wide guidelines for all German CARIAD locations.
Professional representation of CARIAD towards authorities, professional associations, auditors, and other relevant bodies.

Requirements

Medical license with specialist recognition in occupational medicine or additional qualification in occupational medicine.
Additional qualification as an occupational safety specialist (SiFa).
Additional qualifications in the business management context of health management.
Many years of experience in leadership roles in occupational health and safety within large companies, preferably with multiple locations across Germany.
Experience in professional leadership without disciplinary authority.
Proven experience collaborating with external company doctors and occupational safety specialists.
Experience interacting with authorities, professional associations, auditors, Executive Management, and top management committees.
Experience in highly dynamic corporate environments.
Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset.
High consulting competence at the executive level.
High ability to integrate health, safety, HR, and business functions.
Openness to innovations such as digital projects and modern prevention programs in Health & Safety.
