About the Role

As the State Subject Curriculum Lead, you will own the educational source of truth for your specific subject area across NSW and strategically direct everything built from it. This is a founding role in NSW, offering the opportunity to create an entire curriculum from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the curriculum source of truth for your subject, mapping out NESA syllabuses, recurring exam questions, and common student pitfalls.
• Translate curriculum insights into live topic sequencing, question-type maps, and school-specific workshops kept 1-2 weeks ahead of local classrooms.
• Design targeted materials and support systems students need to conquer internal assessments, optimize their school ranks, and ace the exams.
• Plan educational resources upstream from the source of truth, steering Resource Developers to oversee the production of roughly 100 workbooks annually.
• Act as the final quality gate to sign off on all subject materials with absolute polish, while continuously pushing curriculum innovation.

Requirements

• 95+ ATAR and a Band 6 or E4 result in HSC English.
• State ranks are ideal, but not compulsory.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred.
• Deep curriculum expertise and strong opinions on how the subject is sequenced, taught, and examined under NESA.
• Excellent documentation skills with a focus on building durable, written educational frameworks.
• Ability to brief, steer, and manage Resource Developers effectively without creating operational bottlenecks.
• Uncompromising attention to detail with an obsession for error-free work and polished formatting.
• High operational bandwidth to hit tight production deadlines and patch issues proactively.
• Alignment with Contour's student-first mission and a genuine passion for reshaping education.
