About the Role
NVIDIA is seeking experienced candidates with a proven track record in architecture development to join our memory system architecture team. This team is instrumental in shaping memory system architecture for NVIDIA's groundbreaking SOCs used in deep-learning, autonomous vehicles, robotics, mobile, server, and gaming systems. We are looking for creative and autonomous engineers to contribute to our innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of architecture and micro-architecture to advance memory system state-of-the-art, optimizing for performance, power efficiency, complexity, area, effort, and schedule.
- Conduct performance modeling and simulation of features to enhance memory system performance and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain detailed and high-level performance models.
- Analyze benchmarks, application workloads, and performance simulation results to identify micro-architectural optimization tradeoffs.
- Debug performance and functional issues across high-level models, RTL simulation, and silicon.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in SoC or memory system architecture and performance.
- Deep understanding of memory subsystems, including caches and coherence protocols, DDR and memory controller architecture, on-chip interconnects, and address translation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, product-oriented, distributed team environment.
- Exposure or coursework in Digital systems and VLSI design, Computer Architecture, and C/C++ programming languages.
- Software development experience with C++, Python, and/or Perl.
- Verilog or SV/UVM experience is a plus.
