Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for patients admitted to the rehabilitation unit.
- Support cross-coverage needs across various inpatient medicine services, including PM&R, Med-Psych, Inpatient 7s, and other medicine-based units as operational needs arise.
- Admissions, daily progress notes, discharges, care coordination, interdisciplinary communication, and response to acute clinical emergencies.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to support safe, coordinated, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies
- NYS PA Licensure
- Current NCCPA Certification
- ACLS/BLS
- NYS Infection Control certification
- DEA and NYS Opioid Prescriber Training Certification
- Experience in hospital medicine, inpatient rehabilitation, Med-Psych, or other inpatient medicine services preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and changing clinical environments.
- Will consider new graduates with a strong interest in inpatient medicine and rehabilitation.
