About the Role

Lead the evolution of NEC Australia's Public Safety Control Room portfolio, influencing product strategy, driving innovation, and collaborating with global teams to solve real-world challenges and deliver community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute product strategy aligned to business and portfolio objectives.
  • Develop and manage the ANZ product roadmap in collaboration with global product teams.
  • Balance customer requirements, market trends, and technical capabilities.
  • Create compelling product messaging and value propositions.
  • Translate strategy into clear product requirements and priorities.
  • Work closely with engineering and UX teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Prioritise enhancements based on customer value, opportunity, and risk.
  • Support successful product releases and lifecycle management.
  • Build strong relationships with customers across the Public Safety sector.
  • Lead customer workshops, user groups, and product discussions.
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback, usage insights, and market trends.
  • Support sales activities, tenders, and solution positioning.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance products and grow revenue.
  • Explore emerging technologies, including AI-driven capabilities.
  • Develop business cases and present recommendations to product governance forums.
  • Drive user experience, accessibility, and usability improvements.
  • Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities, product performance, and strategic direction.
  • Support go-to-market initiatives and customer-facing engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven Product Management experience within a technology or software environment.
  • Strong experience developing and managing product roadmaps and product lifecycles.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate ROI and business value.
  • Experience translating customer feedback and market intelligence into product strategy.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively and make informed product decisions.
