About the Role
One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Westchester, NY is looking for a skilled HVAC Installation Technician to join their growing team in Thornwood, NY. This role is for individuals who take pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoy problem-solving, and seek a company that values their time and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to ensure proper system installation
- Perform startup, testing, and commissioning of newly installed HVAC equipment
- Collaborate with service technicians and project managers to meet installation deadlines
- Ensure all installations meet local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications
- Communicate professionally with customers, explaining system operation and maintenance best practices
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and company vehicle
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience required
- EPA 608 Certification required
- Solid knowledge of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and components
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
