About the Role

As our Fuels & Energy East business continues to grow, we are inviting Expressions of Interest from Maintenance Managers interested in expanding their experience across the bulk storage, fuels, refining and terminal infrastructure sectors. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly experienced team delivering solutions for some of Australia's most critical assets. You will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of fuel terminals, storage facilities, refining infrastructure, brownfield modifications, asset integrity programs, capital projects and operational support activities. You'll work alongside industry experts and develop valuable experience across the full asset lifecycle, from concept and design through to procurement, construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of maintenance strategies and asset management plans across fuel terminals, bulk storage facilities and associated infrastructure to maximise safety, reliability and operational performance.
  • Manage maintenance teams, contractors and service providers, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance programs for critical assets including tanks, pipelines, pumps, loading facilities, electrical systems and instrumentation.
  • Drive asset integrity and reliability initiatives through inspections, condition monitoring, risk assessments and continuous improvement programs to minimise unplanned downtime.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, resource planning and contractor performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery of maintenance services while maintaining asset performance standards.
  • Partner with operations, engineering and project teams to support shutdowns, infrastructure upgrades, capital projects and long-term asset lifecycle planning across terminal and bulk storage operations.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Maintenance Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or senior maintenance leadership role within fuel terminals, bulk storage, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or other high-risk industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance principles, asset integrity management, reliability engineering, and maintenance planning systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary maintenance teams and contractors, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, performance and continuous improvement.
  • Sound understanding of CMMS and enterprise asset management systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar platforms, with experience managing maintenance budgets and KPIs.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance operational priorities, asset reliability and long-term maintenance strategies in complex operational environments.
