About the Role

Join Treasury's Intergenerational Reporting Branch to contribute to economic modelling, research, and policy analysis that informs Government decision-making on fiscal sustainability, demographic change, climate impacts, and the state's long-term economic outlook. You will collaborate with colleagues across Treasury and government agencies to tackle significant long-term economic and policy challenges, analyze trends, develop quantitative models, conduct policy research, and prepare advice for senior decision-makers. You will lead complex projects, engage with stakeholders, translate technical analysis into clear insights, and mentor team members.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Qualifications or experience in economics, finance, public policy or a related field
  • Experience delivering data-driven analysis and policy advice
  • Expertise in economic modelling, data analysis or policy development
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and collaborate effectively
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • Will be required to undergo background checks
  • Will be required to provide confirmation of tertiary academic qualifications before commencement
