About the Role

Lead exceptional events and inspire a high-performing team to shape the future of an iconic luxury hotel. This role involves mentoring talented individuals, delivering exceptional client experiences, and driving commercial success within a fast-paced luxury environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing Conference & Events Sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Drive revenue growth by maximizing conversion, business development opportunities, and strategic account performance across conferences, events, and group business.
  • Manage high-value conference, event, and group enquiries from initial enquiry through to confirmation.
  • Support complex negotiations, proposals, and contract management for key clients.
  • Build trusted relationships through site inspections, planning meetings, and personalized service.
  • Influence sales strategy through forecasting, reporting, commercial analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from sales to hotel operations, setting every event up for success.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and the overall client journey.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Finance, and Hotel Operations to deliver exceptional commercial and guest outcomes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within Conference & Events Sales or a comparable hotel sales environment.
  • Proven success driving revenue growth, conversion, and commercial performance.
  • Outstanding coaching, mentoring, and people leadership capability.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Delphi, Opera, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining service excellence.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Full working rights in Australia are required.
