About the Role

Morningstar's Index business is seeking an experienced Asset Owner Sales Director to develop and execute a strategy for adopting their index offerings within key client segments. This role involves building relationships, generating demand, and collaborating with internal teams to serve the asset owner and consultant communities.

Responsibilities

• Create an asset owner and consultant business plan to establish Morningstar Indexes as a benchmark.
• Build and maintain relationships with key influencers in the asset owner community.
• Generate demand for Morningstar indexes and data by securing investment mandates or via consultant relationships.
• Understand and articulate the competitive landscape of Morningstar Indexes.
• Collaborate with internal Morningstar teams to formulate consistent strategies for asset owners and consultants.
• Assist in coordinating events to connect asset owners with subject matter experts.
• Represent Morningstar Indexes at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of experience in institutional sales and account management within the investment index industry.
• Proven track record of exceeding prior annual sales or mandate targets.
• Knowledge of the asset owner investment and decision-making process.
• Knowledge of the competitive landscape.
• Ability to build long-term client relationships with executive and senior leadership.
• Knowledge of institutional distribution networks and influence forums.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations.
• Ability to understand complex investment concepts.
