About the Role

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Creative Services Graphic Design Coordinator responsible for system-wide creative execution and implementation. This role produces visual solutions reflecting organizational and project goals, requiring self-motivation, quality output in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage multiple projects under aggressive deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver creative products and projects that achieve marketing and organizational goals with innovative and effective designs.
  • Design projects such as newsletters, logos, advertisements, brochures, posters, folders, and other marketing collateral materials, updating them as content and visuals change.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop branding concepts and produce marketing materials.
  • Provide digital graphic design and layout for print, video, and web applications using graphic design software.
  • Develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
  • Prepare rough drafts and professionally present ideas, amending designs based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Ensure project accuracy and quality are upheld.
  • Determine project specifications for print production and act as a liaison between the design team and print vendors.
  • Troubleshoot printing and production issues with relevant teams and vendors.
  • Develop suites of materials for specific campaigns across various mediums.
  • Produce artwork to assist in promotional and public-relations efforts.
  • Design instructional and informational print media and collateral for improved communication.
  • Assist in the production of presentation graphics and research posters for national meetings.
  • Manipulate photographic images through retouching, color correction, sizing, and special effects.
  • Ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are obtained before distributing final collateral materials.
  • Uphold and maintain the visual identity and brand standards for Shriners Children’s and Shriners International.
  • Ensure identity standards remain relevant to organizational values, goals, and objectives.
  • Maintain unity and consistency of creative tone to uphold brand integrity.
  • Develop and distribute location and program-specific brand assets for system-wide use.
  • Work with various staff and vendors to ensure visual identity is properly communicated and utilized.
  • Provide brand standard education and instruction to staff and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of design team functions and workflows.
  • Stay current with design software, platforms, and trends through continuous learning.
  • Maintain open, professional, and positive communication to promote teamwork.
  • Participate in department and team meetings, learning courses, and competencies.
  • Follow and support management decisions and accept constructive criticism.
  • Adapt to new situations and demonstrate willingness to try different ideas.
  • Accommodate last-minute requests and manage time effectively to maximize workflow and set project priorities.
  • Finish projects within established parameters and deadlines.
  • Regularly communicate workload and document projects with supervisor.
  • Perform other assigned duties willingly and promptly with a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • 5 years of associated field experience
  • Proficient use of Mac products
  • Experience reviewing printer proofs and performing press checks

Skills

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom and Photoshop)
  • Photo editing skills
