About the Role
Tenom's value to clients depends on the quality of what we recommend, which starts with a strong technical foundation. This role serves as a dedicated technical partner to vCIOs and Customer Success Managers, ensuring client environments meet Tenom standards by running discoveries, accurately scoping work, and grounding recommendations in technical reality. The goal is to make complex environments understandable and keep clients ahead of future technological advancements.
Responsibilities
- Complete ITSF discoveries to build a comprehensive picture of each client's environment, including infrastructure, applications, security, and alignment to business objectives.
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities against the Tenom standard.
- Join scoping calls to vet potential work, define the outcome, and clarify project requirements.
- Own the ongoing health and documentation of client-managed assets, ensuring endpoints, network devices, and infrastructure are patched, configured, and accounted for.
- Measure and ensure the client environment meets Tenom standards through evaluation and implementation of patches, configurations, and policies.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring tickets to identify and address underlying issues.
- Identify trends across the client base and partner with the Service Delivery Manager to implement preventive measures and improve service delivery.
- Translate the technical picture into roadmap recommendations covering feasibility, sequencing, and alignment to the Tenom operating model.
- Collaborate with vCIOs on IT strategy and provide input on budgeting and investment prioritization.
- Help clients understand the financial impact of their technology decisions.
- Proactively identify where clients are falling behind and develop strategies to close the gap.
- Stay current on industry standards, emerging technologies, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure client environments meet the Tenom standard technology posture.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Education including a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a technology consulting or advisory role, preferably within the IT services industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, security, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technology environments, conduct root cause analysis, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with budgeting and resource planning for IT initiatives.
- Ability to stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Management, etc.
- Experience designing a scalable Azure Environment.
- A valid driver's license is required for any required on-site client visits.
