About the Role
Itty Bitty Adventures LLC is seeking a passionate and nurturing 3K Lead Teacher in Brooklyn, NY, to shape early learning experiences in a fun, adventure-inspired environment that celebrates creativity and curiosity.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based curriculum for 3K students aligned with NYS early childhood learning standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and development.
- Monitor and document student progress, development milestones, and behavioral observations.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth, daily activities, and classroom updates.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff to maintain a structured and nurturing daily routine.
- Facilitate social-emotional learning and conflict resolution among young learners.
- Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and a clean, organized learning space.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- New York State teaching certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2) a plus.
- Prior experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a lead teacher capacity.
- Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for 3K learners.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children and families.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
- Must meet NYC DOE and ACS background check and clearance requirements.
