About the Role
Long Island Balance Physical Therapy is expanding and seeking skilled front office support for their physical therapy practice, focusing on vestibular and balance retraining. This role offers opportunities for professional growth within a state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
- Communicate the importance of physical therapy to patients and prospective callers.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and in a friendly customer-service manner.
- Complete new patient registration.
- Work closely with patients to ensure they meet their prescribed course of treatment.
- Encourage patients to keep appointments, limiting cancellations and no-shows.
- Schedule appointments for new and returning patients and follow up with past patients.
- Collect applicable payments.
- Perform general medical reception duties, including updating prescriptions, insurance authorizations, and rescheduling appointments.
- Scan and upload information into the EMR system.
- Assist the Office Manager as needed.
Requirements
- Must be within a 30-45 minute driving distance from the Lake Success Office.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Compassion for helping people.
- Proficient with computer technology.
- Team player attitude to coordinate with patients, therapists, and administrative staff.
- Self-directed with organizing skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Punctual and stable work schedule.
- Medical reception and/or sales experience is a plus.
