About the Role

Join our Casual Pool at Macquarie University Hospital as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) and gain experience across various clinical settings. You will support registered nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering essential patient care, assisting with daily living activities and basic care needs to promote comfort, dignity, and recovery.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Relevant experience within the private health sector.
  • Previous experience as an AIN is desirable.
  • Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and empathise with patients.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-level customer service, always delivered in a professional manner.
  • Good knowledge of basic nursing care including performing and recording full set of clinical observations.
  • Good knowledge of performing ECGs.
  • Good knowledge of assisting patients with personal hygiene requirements.
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to uphold and be a steward of the Mission, Vision and Values of MQ.
  • MQ Health Immunisation screening.
  • Valid Working with Children Check for NSW.
  • Criminal History Check.
  • Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or currently residing in Australia with full working rights.
