About the Role

As our Fuels & Energy East business continues to grow, we are inviting Expressions of Interest from Project Controllers interested in expanding their experience across the bulk storage, fuels, refining and terminal infrastructure sectors. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly experienced team delivering solutions for some of Australia's most critical assets. You will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of fuel terminals, storage facilities, refining infrastructure, brownfield modifications, asset integrity programs, capital projects and operational support activities. You'll work alongside industry experts and develop valuable experience across the full asset lifecycle, from concept and design through to procurement, construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts and cost reports across fuel terminal, bulk storage and infrastructure projects.
  • Track project performance against key milestones, identifying risks, variances and opportunities, and providing timely recommendations to project leadership.
  • Coordinate project controls processes including cost management, change control, progress measurement and earned value reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, operations, procurement and contractor teams to ensure accurate project planning, resource allocation and reporting.
  • Prepare and present project dashboards, financial updates and performance metrics to stakeholders, ensuring clear visibility of project status, risks and outcomes.
  • Support project governance and compliance requirements by maintaining project documentation, control systems and reporting frameworks in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in project controls, project planning, cost control, or project management within fuel terminals, bulk storage, energy, oil & gas, resources, or industrial infrastructure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost management, forecasting, change control, and project reporting, with proficiency in systems such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex project data, identify risks and trends, and provide clear insights to support effective decision-making and project delivery.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across project, engineering, construction, operations, and contractor teams.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced and complex project environments.
