About the Role
Validio is the agentic data management platform that automates data quality, lineage, and cataloging. As a Sales Engineer, you will prove the value of our platform to data leaders of demanding enterprises by demonstrating how their data can be trusted. You will be the technical core of the sales team, partnering with Account Executives to translate data challenges into value with Validio.
Responsibilities
- Partner with AEs on deal strategy and qualify where Validio wins
- Run technical discovery with business data and engineering teams, and map their challenges to our platform
- Own proof-of-value engagements end to end — from success criteria to the moment the data speaks for itself
- Deliver tailored demos and turn technical evaluators into internal champions
- Be the trusted technical voice for prospects, and carry their reality back to Product and Engineering
- Build the demos, playbooks, and reusable assets that scale how we sell
Requirements
- 5+ years proven experience in pre-sales, solutions or sales engineering — ideally in data, analytics, or developer-focused software
- Fluency with the modern data stack (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, dbt, Looker, Tableau) and strong SQL
- The rare ability to hold a room of engineers and a room of executives, and connect technical capability to business value
- Ownership instinct — you move deals forward without waiting to be told how
- Experience in data quality, observability, or governance
- Building pre-sales motion from an early stage
