About the Role
Bridges Dental, a boutique cosmetic and restorative dental office in Union Square, San Francisco, is seeking a qualified and caring Dental Assistant to join their team 3 days per week. The practice focuses on providing top-notch dental care in a warm and welcoming environment, making patients feel like family. The role involves assisting the dentist during procedures, completing administrative tasks like maintaining digital records, and performing some dental lab work. They are looking for a part-time, upbeat, kind, gentle, thorough, and professional assistant dedicated to exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and make them feel at ease and informed for the procedure
- Accurately record dental and medical history
- Assist Dr. Bridges during procedures and exams
- Prepare, disinfect, and sterilize dental treatment rooms, equipment, and instruments
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols
- Take digital X-rays and photographs as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Support the team in keeping the day running smoothly
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care
- Current digital X-ray certification and sterilization education required
- CPR certification helpful, but not necessary
- Experience and knowledge of cosmetic dental procedures highly beneficial
