About the Role
WE VENTURE is a unique program in Germany designed to support individuals with a social enterprise idea who may not find entry in existing support systems. This role involves building a brand and community around the program, reaching target audiences, and managing application cohorts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital communication strategies across LinkedIn, Instagram, newsletters, and the website.
- Create an annual editorial plan with practical content on topics like legal forms, financing, and initial steps for social entrepreneurship.
- Clearly explain the Fiscal Host model and WE aid's offerings to individuals unfamiliar with them.
- Manage and engage with the community on digital channels, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
- Build a network of multipliers including universities, incubators, student organizations, and civil society actors.
- Develop tailored formats for different entry points, addressing the needs of individuals at various career stages.
- Represent WE VENTURE at events.
- Plan and manage application campaigns for incubation cohorts.
- Handle initial communication with applicants, coordinate the application process, and perform pre-screening in coordination with project management.
- Ensure equal access through online-first strategies, inclusive language, and minimal formal barriers.
- Design accessible and gender-sensitive communication materials and highlight ecological sustainability in program communications.
- Build the program community and organize the annual alumni meeting.
- Activate the peer-learning network between current and former participants.
- Manage events for information and networking formats.
- Communicate program outcomes to funders, partners, and the public.
- Create the annual impact report, both editorially and visually.
- Support press relations and positioning within the German impact ecosystem.
Requirements
- Completed university degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a comparable field.
- Minimum of two to three years of professional experience in content communication, community management, or public relations.
- Demonstrable experience with LinkedIn, Instagram, and newsletters.
- Ability to write clearly and without jargon, explaining complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Understanding of target audience needs and sensitivity to the challenges of starting a social enterprise.
- Experience in organizing events and community formats.
- Proficiency in using AI assistants like Claude as part of the daily workflow.
- Fluent German language skills.
