About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on clients' lives by providing essential administrative and legal support to the national Asbestos and Dust team. You will work on technically complex and specialized cases, guided by industry leaders, and contribute to delivering exceptional outcomes with care and respect.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring professional, prompt, and helpful communication.
- Keep clients informed with clear and timely updates.
- Support client files throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Prepare correspondence, legal documents, and court materials.
- Manage diaries, appointments, and meetings.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
- Handle client billing and associated administrative tasks.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant is desirable, but not essential; similar support or administrative roles will be considered.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A trustworthy and professional approach to handling confidential client information.
- A genuine learning mindset with eagerness to expand knowledge and skillset.
- Comfort with legal technology and AI tools, or enthusiasm to build proficiency quickly.
- Interest in commercial awareness and understanding efficient matter management.
- Proactive approach to process improvement, with a willingness to suggest better methods.
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo background checks.
