About the Role
We are seeking a Workplace Safety Manager to lead and evolve workplace health and safety across AP+ in a permanent part-time capacity. This highly visible role partners with leaders to embed a proactive safety culture, enhance risk management, and ensure our workplace experience meets modern standards. As our subject matter expert, you will provide strategic guidance, influence decision-making, and shape policies and initiatives that support business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to a workplace that prioritizes wellbeing, accountability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve our workplace health and safety framework.
- Provide trusted advice to leaders on WHS governance, compliance and risk management.
- Drive risk assessments, audits, emergency preparedness and safety initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to proactively identify and manage workplace risks.
- Oversee contractor and supplier WHS governance to ensure consistent standards.
- Support workplace wellbeing and employee experience initiatives.
- Monitor legislative and industry changes, ensuring our practices remain contemporary and compliant.
- Use data and reporting to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships across the business to influence positive safety outcomes.
Requirements
- Robust proven experience working in a Workplace Safety role within a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance requirements and contemporary risk management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders to deliver business-focused safety outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
- Experience managing third-party providers, contractors and supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to provide trusted advice and constructive challenge.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for creating better workplace outcomes.
