About the Role
Provide day-to-day support for audit teams using digital audit tools, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist in the planning, development, testing, and deployment of audit technology solutions. This role involves rolling out new technologies, gathering user feedback, developing training, and designing/building automation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for audit teams using digital audit tools such as CaseWare, Alteryx, Power BI, and DocuMine
- Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with IT or vendors as needed
- Assist in undertaking technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimating, developing, testing, and deployment of audit technology solutions across the division
- Assist in the rollout and configuration of new audit and automation technologies
- Gather feedback from audit teams to improve tool usability and effectiveness
- Develop and deliver training sessions and materials for audit staff on tools implemented
- Maintain up-to-date user guides, FAQs, and best practice documentation
- Design, build and maintain automation and efficiency solutions using tools such as Python, SQL, and RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath and Alteryx) from development through to implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot and implement innovative solutions
- Proactive in the research and evaluation of new technologies
- Support audit teams in extracting, transforming, and analysing client data
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with firm policies
- Maintain, enhance and provide ongoing support for deployed tools and automations, ensuring reliability, performance and code quality
- Keep abreast of emerging audit technologies and share insights with the team to foster continuous improvement
- Develop strong foundational knowledge in relevant audit technologies and continuously seek opportunities for upskilling
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude when encountering challenges, seeking guidance from senior colleagues where appropriate
- Strengthen communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Embrace a collaborative mindset, contributing positively to team discussions and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years audit experience
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships
