About the Role
We're seeking a highly creative and execution-focused Videographer & Editor to join Sierra's Brand Design team. This role is responsible for producing fast, high-quality, social-native video content that drives engagement, builds brand affinity, and fuels organic growth. You'll take projects from concept to final delivery, bringing Sierra's products, customers, people, and ideas to life across marketing, social channels, and thought leadership initiatives. You'll partner closely with marketers, brand design team, executives, product teams, customers, and external partners to uncover compelling stories and translate them into content that moves — emotionally, culturally, and quickly. This is a chance to help define Sierra's video practice from the ground up and shape how the world experiences our brand.
Responsibilities
- Capture and edit short-form video optimized for platforms like LinkedIn, X, and YouTube Shorts — including reactive content shot on iPhone or lightweight setups, turning ideas into published content within hours when needed, with quick-turn edits often delivered within 24–72 hours.
- Partner with Sierra's social and marketing leads to develop and capture recurring content series such as in-person product demos, executive content, customer stories, and brand moments that build audience engagement over time.
- Develop strong hooks, pacing, captions, and storytelling structures designed for retention, and repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form assets.
- Capture lifestyle and event photography for web, social, and campaign use.
- Create lightweight graphic, meme, and motion-based content in partnership with a motion designer to support social storytelling.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of platform-native content and audience behavior across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and emerging channels, paired with strong editorial judgment to identify culturally relevant moments, trends, and conversations that can be authentically connected to Sierra's mission and brand.
- Comfortable moving between fast-turnaround social content, executive thought leadership, customer storytelling, event coverage, and polished brand campaigns.
- Proficiency in editing tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Experience shooting with both professional camera/lighting setups and lightweight/mobile production.
- Constantly generating ideas, testing formats, and looking for opportunities to create content that earns attention rather than interrupts it.
- Experience with motion graphics, lightweight design, meme culture, photography, or other complementary creative disciplines is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment, with strong asset management habits and a balance of speed and quality.
