About the Role

Help shape the technical standards and documentation that underpin NSW's critical communications infrastructure. Lead the development and continuous improvement of engineering standards, procedures and technical documentation, ensuring information is clear, accurate, accessible and aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining engineering standards, procedures and technical documentation
  • Translating complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content
  • Working with subject matter experts to capture, analyse and document technical knowledge
  • Managing document templates, style guides, version control and governance processes
  • Ensuring documentation meets quality, compliance and organisational requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement of engineering documentation practices
  • Supporting the management of document repositories, knowledge bases and information management processes
  • Maintaining documentation lifecycle activities, including review, approval, publication and ongoing maintenance

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and retain minimum Baseline Security clearance within six months
  • Proven experience producing technical documentation, standards, procedures or controlled documents
  • Excellent written communication, editing and technical writing skills
  • Experience working with technical subject matter experts to capture and document complex information
  • Strong attention to detail and experience managing document governance processes
  • Advanced SharePoint experience, including information architecture, document libraries, metadata, version control, permissions management and document lifecycle governance
  • Experience working within engineering, telecommunications, infrastructure or similar technical environments
