About the Role
Crosby’s is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations. This role involves creating a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving store success by supervising team members and maintaining high operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to every customer
- Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items following quality and cleanliness standards
- Promote and assist customers with enrolling in My Crosby’s Rewards
- Drive sales through suggestive selling and add-on recommendations
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues when the Team Leader is not present
- Help oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and profitability
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and brand standards
- Support merchandising, promotions, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, tobacco, alcohol, and company regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- Train, coach, and support store associates
- Assist with scheduling and maintaining proper staffing levels
- Provide feedback on employee performance and development
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
- Assist with inventory control, audits, and reporting
- Support accurate cash handling and daily bank deposits
- Review timekeeping and assist with payroll processing
- Report discrepancies and maintain accurate records
- Help maintain a safe and secure store environment
- Follow proper opening/closing procedures and cash security policies
- Monitor equipment, cleanliness, and overall store conditions
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Requirements
- 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to work at least 40 hours/week, including weekends
- Valid Driver’s license that meets company policy
- Reliable transportation for position requirements (e.g., meetings, daily banking, etc.)
- Proficient in basic math to handle cash transactions, shift reports, and vendor check-ins
- Ability to clearly assess and validate customer identification
- Ability to understand operating instructions for lottery, point of sale systems (POS), and other equipment
- Tolerance of exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products

Salary/Compensations
- The advertised rate of pay is inclusive of a $1.50 Shift Differential added for hours worked between 11:00PM-7:00AM.
