About the Role

As an engineering manager, you'll lead and scale the people and technology powering our autonomous scientific discovery platform. You will lead our product application team, owning both the API experience used by agents and automations as well as the UI that scientists interact with daily. This high-impact leadership role reports to the Head of Engineering and will influence architecture, operations, and growth of our product engineering team.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow our product engineering team, owning mentorship, career development, and the hiring pipeline.
Partner with product and research teams to bring state-of-the-art features into production.
Set the technical strategy for our AI product platform, focusing on engineering quality and velocity.
Diagnose and solve challenges that scientists face in using our platform for discoveries.
Own technical decision-making surrounding our API and UI layers.
Manage cross-functional communication and planning between engineering teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

4+ years of experience managing an engineering team and leading cross-functional initiatives.
Prior experience working as a product engineer at a high-velocity, engineering-focused organization.
Deep familiarity with systems and API design, product thinking, and operating applications in production.
Strong understanding of systems architecture including distributed systems, data modeling, and cloud infrastructure.
