About the Role
Performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties in a hospital kitchen/cafeteria. Responsibilities include dishwashing, janitorial tasks, and participating in food tray delivery while maintaining quality and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve trays from dirty utility room, clean meal carts, and send dirty dishes through the dish machine.
- Wash pots and place clean dishes in the designated work area.
- Perform janitorial duties, including throwing trash, sweeping, and mopping.
- Participate in the delivery of food service trays to customers, maintaining quality and sanitation standards.
- Participate in the assembly and delivery of patient/customer meals according to established criteria and procedures.
- Support the organization's visions, values, and strategies.
- Maintain and support sanitation standards as required by department policy and regulatory agencies.
- Operate and maintain equipment commensurate with job assignment.
- Ensure quality guidelines are maintained for the assigned area.
- Maintain department records, reports, and files as required.
- Participate in educational meetings/in-services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Less than one year of experience in customer service or a food service environment.
- Minimal legal age for consideration is 16.
