About the Role

Performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties in a hospital kitchen/cafeteria, including dishwashing, janitorial tasks, and participating in food services tray delivery while maintaining quality and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve trays from dirty utility room, clean meal carts, wash dishes and pots, and place clean dishes in designated work area.
• Throw trash, sweep, and mop floors.
• Participate in the delivery of food services trays to customers, maintaining quality and sanitation standards.
• Participate in assembly and delivery of patient/customer meals according to established criteria and procedures.
• Support the organization's visions, values, and strategies.
• Maintain and support sanitation standards as required by department policy and regulatory agencies.
• Operate and maintain equipment commensurate with job assignment.
• Ensure quality guidelines are maintained for the assigned area.
• Maintain department records, reports, and files as required.
• Participate in educational meetings/in-services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Less than high school education.
• Less than one year of experience in customer service or food service environment.
• Minimal legal age for consideration is 16.
