About the Role

As an Assistant Manager within our Business & Private Bank, you will support the delivery of strategic and operational priorities across commercial and private banking segments. This role focuses on driving business performance, supporting key initiatives, and ensuring strong alignment between business objectives and outcomes. It offers hands-on exposure to a $5m-$15m lending portfolio within the Diversified Industries space, ideal for building core commercial banking capability and deepening credit experience.

Responsibilities

Support Relationship Managers in making banking easier for customers, providing customer solutions, and insights.
Conduct financial analysis and develop and implement appropriate customer strategies.
Establish and maintain a professional market profile and understand the customer’s industry and associated markets.
Work collaboratively with other internal work functions and stakeholders.
Demonstrate living the ANZ Values with customers and colleagues.

Requirements

Great financial literacy, analytical skills, commercial and business acumen.
Strong analytical ability to assess and interpret implications of financial trends.
Prior experience in developing strong relationships in a customer delivery/ customer experience role.
Sound understanding of the structuring of security arrangements.
Experience in the banking industry is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Possesses an accounting or finance degree or equivalent, though not a strict requirement.
