About the Role

The Assistant Manager assists the club manager in overseeing club operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience. This role involves significant team member onboarding and training, leading the team through task completion, and driving the success of club priorities and KPI goals. The focus is on creating an exceptional member experience and ensuring team members have the necessary tools.

Responsibilities

Lead team members to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
Model behaviors for an outstanding member experience and coach others.
Assist in resolving employee concerns.
Provide backup staffing support.
Manage inventory for cleaning supplies.
Order club supplies and retail product.
Track KPIs to identify strengths and opportunities and strategize with the club manager.
Support the Club Manager with hiring and onboarding new team members.
Assess and assist in emergency situations.
Greet members and guests, assisting with inquiries.
Promote the Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members and upholding policies.
Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager as needed.
Answer phones and assist callers.
Perform membership functions including sign-ups, updates, cancellations, and transfers.
Conduct prospective member calls and tours.
Execute retail transactions and drive sales.
Clean and sanitize exercise equipment and facilities regularly.
Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter-free.
Perform regular club walks to address safety, policy, and cleanliness concerns.
Address maintenance and facility concerns promptly.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided).
Basic computer proficiency.
Continual standing and moving throughout the club.
Continual communicating in person or on the phone.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Will encounter toxic chemicals.
Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
Moving self in different positions, including bending and twisting.
Every team member is responsible for contributing to a safe and healthy workplace.
Team members are expected to be active participants in health and safety by following all applicable policies and protocols, reporting unsafe conditions or at-risk behaviors to leadership, and conducting work in a safe manner.
