About the Role
Vocalink Limited, a Mastercard Company, is seeking a Manager, Operations Risk and Control Management to oversee the application and compliance of operational risk management policies and practices across its Operations and Technology functions. This role is critical in ensuring the robustness, security, and seamless operation of services vital to the UK economy, processing billions of transactions annually.
Responsibilities
- Advise 1LOD functions on the application of operational risk management practices and changes to their day-to-day activities.
- Monitor compliance with risk management policies and processes, supporting the implementation of operational risk change initiatives.
- Consolidate and review key risk information for reporting to governance forums, stakeholders, and 2LOD functions.
- Provide risk advice by leveraging understanding of management policies, processes, and industry best practices.
- Support the development and/or implementation of procedures for effective 1LOD adoption of risk management policies.
- Support risk assurance activities by providing required information and explanations.
- Assist senior team members in conducting ad hoc risk assessments and root cause analysis.
- Support the effective running of formal risk governance committees and informal forums.
- Promote collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Requirements
- Experience implementing industry standards such as security (e.g., CRI, ISO27001) and operational resilience/BCM (e.g., ISO 22301) and IT (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience managing or participating in the RCSA process, preferably in financial services, IT, or payments.
- Experience working in 1st or 2nd line risk teams or Internal Audit functions within a financial services environment.
- Experience in Technology (e.g., incident/change/problem management), Cyber Security (e.g., SOC, vulnerability management), or Operational Resilience (e.g., Third party management, scenario analysis).
- Experience applying operational risk frameworks and using GRC solutions.
- Experience working on cross-functional initiatives to design and implement best practice risk management practices.
- Experience working on complex cross-functional strategic initiatives, projects, and teams.
- Experience in delivering presentations and engaging with a wide group of stakeholders.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

- Ability to self-start, problem solve, and work under pressure
- Adept use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic use of PowerBI, Tableau, Domo, Access database, or other reporting tools
