About the Role
The Private Markets Trade Finance Team manages a diverse range of investment opportunities across the trade finance spectrum, including large-scale trade finance facilities, football transfer receivables, and media finance transactions. This internship offers exposure to portfolio monitoring, fund reporting, cash reconciliation, and financial analysis, working closely with portfolio managers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Run daily cash reconciliation against the fund ledger and provide updates on payment delays to portfolio management.
- Monitor the portfolio and support ad-hoc analysis requests from portfolio management.
- Support month-end activities across departments, including monthly fund monitoring and reporting.
- Analyze new fund holdings and monitor existing investments using financial models.
- Support portfolio managers with a variety of ad-hoc tasks and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced bachelor studies in business administration, industrial engineering, economics, or finance.
- Enrolled at a German or EU-recognized university for the entire duration of the internship.
- Legal right to work in Germany for the duration of the internship.
- First practical experience through internships, preferably within audit, asset management, or finance.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Exceptional user skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic VBA programming skills are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
