About the Role

The Fuel Facility Supervisor will provide supervision and direction to all operational employees assigned to their shift, ensuring coordination of responsibilities and activities for all operation personnel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all responsibilities and activities for all operation personnel during the assigned shift.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and quality control requirements are performed and meet industry standards.
• Review all shift paperwork, daily reports, work orders, and records for the operations during the shift.
• Support Tank Farm Operators as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Pass a federal fingerprint background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Have proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Leadership experience and/or skills.
• Familiarity with Fuel Quality Assurance and Fuel Quality Control industry practices, along with applicable ATA, IATA, OSHA standards.
• Ability to calculate figures such as loss/gains, inventories, inches/feet to gallons/barrels conversions.
• Small engine experience.
• Electronic diagnosis ability.
• 1-year related experience working on gasoline or aviation fuel trucks or fuel farms and/or training – and/or combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of internet software and smart phone apps.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to calculate rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders with 50+ steps and work at heights of 50 feet or more, including high, precarious places.
• Must be able to get in and out of vehicles of varying sizes and heights.
• Must be able to drive and operate vehicles and equipment of various sizes, including automated lifts up to 26 feet.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds overhead.
• Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds to waist level.
• Must be able to shovel materials such as snow, sand, dirt, gravel, or rocks as needed.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and balance for extended periods of time.
• Perform repetitive physical movements, including bending at the waist and knees, and sustaining awkward or physically demanding positions.
• Capable of climbing and standing on step ladders while performing overhead work, such as connecting fueling hoses.
• Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grip, and operate tools, equipment, and controls.
• Hear and respond to verbal instructions, environmental sounds, and audible alarms.
• Maintain close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
• Maintain distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
• Maintain color vision (identify and distinguish between colors).
• Maintain peripheral vision (see up/down and side-to-side while focused on a central point).
• Maintain depth perception (assess distance and spatial relationships).
• Ability to adjust focus (sharpen vision at various distances).
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
• Tolerate frequent exposure to moderate to high noise levels (with use of appropriate hearing protection).
• Tolerate frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous substances, materials, or waste.
• Work near or around moving mechanical parts.
• Work near or around high-voltage equipment.
• Work near or around hydraulic and pneumatic systems operating under high pressure.
