About the Role
The Financial Planning & Strategy (FP&S) team partners with marketing and go-to-market leadership to drive strategic decision-making through financial and strategic analyses. This role will partner with the VP of Marketing and the COO to manage marketing investments, measure ROI, and optimize go-to-market strategies. It's a high-visibility position with executive team exposure.
Responsibilities
- Own the marketing finance partnership and serve as the strategic finance partner for the VP of Marketing and their leadership team.
- Build and own frameworks for measuring ROAS, channel efficiency, and attribution across paid, brand, and lifecycle marketing.
- Drive evolution towards incrementality testing and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) for causal, incremental measurement.
- Own the unit economics model, reporting, and insights to drive investment decisions and support investor relations.
- Lead the annual and long-range planning process for the marketing organization, setting targets and stress-testing investment cases.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product to quantitatively validate strategic investment areas.
- Develop AI-powered workflows, automated reporting, and intelligence systems for enhanced analytics.
- Present findings and recommendations directly to senior leaders to influence decisions.
- Govern budget management and reporting for the COO’s overall budget with analyst support.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 4 years partnering with B2B marketing organizations.
- A foundation in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting is a strong plus.
- Deep fluency in marketing economics, including building channel ROI models and explaining ROAS.
- Comfortable acting as the connective tissue between the CFO and CMO.
- Fluency across the marketing measurement stack, including multi-touch attribution, incrementality testing, and MMM.
- Experience with both PLG and sales-led go-to-market motions and their differing measurement and investment strategies.
- Proven track record of driving business outcomes through financial insight and influencing strategy.
- Experience building AI-powered models, analyses, or workflows.
- Expert-level financial modeling skills with an instinct for business drivers.
- Strong executive presence with clear and convincing communication.
- Hands-on experience with Marketing Analytics tools (e.g., HockeyStack), Salesforce, BI tools (e.g., Omni, Looker, Tableau), and SQL.
- Proactive problem identification and ability to work through ambiguity.
- A-player mindset with a strong bias for action, resilience, and ownership.
