About the Role

The Site Director leads daily operations of a Healthy Kids Programs location, creating a safe and engaging environment for children. This role involves supporting and coaching the team, building relationships with families and school partners, and ensuring program quality and licensing compliance. The ideal candidate is an energetic, organized leader passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the site.
  • Create a safe and engaging program that children love and families trust.
  • Support and coach the team.
  • Build strong relationships with families and school partners.
  • Ensure the program meets Healthy Kids Programs' quality standards and all licensing requirements.
  • Ensure the site is fully staffed every day.
  • Ensure teachers are prepared, supported, and showing up for the kids.
  • Operate in ratio at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and current records.
  • Ensure the program is ready for inspection.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
  • Manage inventory and restocking.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.
