About the Role

Join Healthy Kids Programs as a part-time staff member, contributing to a mission-driven team that shapes the future of childcare. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting student growth and creating positive experiences for children.

Responsibilities

  • Engage children in learning through play and positive experiences.
  • Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
  • Collaborate effectively with teammates.
  • Communicate effectively with families.
  • Provide exceptional care to children.
  • Ensure children are engaged, safe, and having fun.
  • Maintain program quality aligned with Healthy Kids Program's model.
  • Ensure the site is fully staffed and teachers are prepared and supported.
  • Operate in ratio at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and current records.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
  • Restock supplies before they run out.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

  • Afternoon Program: 2:45 - 6:00 pm (Subject to change)
  • Opportunities available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Education Level

Salary/Compensations

  • $18.00 per hour
