About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic problem-solver to join our Operations team, which ensures the smooth and efficient flow of assets, information, and ideas within Jane Street and externally. This role involves learning daily operations, understanding products, and identifying opportunities for process improvement through redesigning workflows, eliminating handoffs, enhancing tools and systems, or applying AI. The position is expected to evolve, with a growing focus on process improvement and a broad view of Operations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
2+ years of experience in operations, engineering, analytics, consulting, or a related field.
Ability to notice inefficiencies and gaps in teams, tools, and processes and take initiative to improve them.
Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, considering the best solution for the problem.
Comfortable digging into complex ideas and making them clear for others.
Self-starter able to set direction in ambiguous situations.
Humble, willing to ask questions, and aware of knowledge limitations.
