About the Role

We are seeking Senior Consultants with a strong understanding of healthcare payer organizations, particularly in the commercial market, and how reimbursement, payment structures, and policies influence decisions and outcomes. This role supports work across commercial and federal health, prioritizing commercial payer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead defined workstreams within healthcare strategy and transformation engagements, owning day-to-day execution, analytic outputs, and storyline development for high-quality, on-time delivery with minimal oversight.
  • Translate ambiguous client needs into structured problem solving, including framing the problem, developing hypotheses, designing workplans, and driving execution.
  • Apply commercial payer/provider expertise to federal health challenges, considering how reimbursement, payment structures, and policy-driven incentives influence operations, provider behavior, and performance outcomes.
  • Perform and guide analysis to insight, including data collection/cleaning, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and translating findings into decision-ready implications.
  • Develop executive-ready deliverables (PowerPoint and written products) that clearly communicate insights using strong narrative structure and concise recommendations.
  • Support operational and performance transformation by mapping current state, identifying pain points, designing target-state processes/operating models, and defining governance and metrics.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement through planning and leading working sessions, interviews, and workshops; synthesizing inputs; and managing workstream communications.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff through delegation, quality review, and actionable feedback to enhance analytical rigor and client-ready communication.
  • Contribute to internal capability building (templates, accelerators, thought leadership) and support proposals/capture efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in consulting and/or healthcare industry roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare strategy and/or transformation, with exposure to payer/provider, operating models, or performance improvement.
  • Strong understanding of commercial payer/provider environments, including reimbursement/payment fundamentals and how policy and payment structures affect outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data; advanced Excel proficiency required.
  • Proven ability to lead workstreams, build client-ready deliverables, and communicate effectively (written and verbal).
