About the Role
Omnicare, Inc., a subsidiary of CVS Health Corporation, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern for its Long Term Care Pharmacy. This role involves working in a dynamic environment to support pharmacy management goals, ensuring accurate and comprehensive drug dispensing services. The intern will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service, playing an integral part of the pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
- Entry of orders
- Adhere to required delivery schedules
- Complete new and refill labels and orders
- Complete drug packaging and labeling
- Preparation of sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required
- Offering Health Screenings and Immunizations when appropriate
- Customer Service
- Patient Safety
- Pharmacy Professional Practice
- Regulatory Requirements
- Inventory Management
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active Pharmacy Intern License in the state in which you are employed
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
- Long Term Care pharmacy experience
