About the Role
The Walker Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an individual with a strong background in exercise physiology for an immediately available part-time position. This role involves diverse projects with no typical day, offering a unique opportunity to work with a team of registered dietitians and exercise physiologists to provide cutting-edge metabolic assessments to a diverse patient group. The position utilizes gold-standard equipment for metabolic and physiological testing, exercise counseling, and report generation. There is potential for involvement in clinical research within the Human Metabolism and Physiology Lab (HMPL), a core lab within the Translational Research Core at the NIH-funded NY Diabetes Research Center.
Responsibilities
- Administer metabolic and physiological testing using gold-standard equipment.
- Conduct exercise counseling.
- Generate reports to be shared with patients.
- Contribute to efforts that enhance collaborations and partnerships for lab promotion and growth.
- Potentially become involved in clinical research led by Dr. Walker and other projects at the HMPL.
