About the Role
St. John's is seeking a Dining Services Team Member to support service in the cafeteria and deliver food to residents, honoring individual needs with a commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prep and stock cafeteria and resident neighborhoods.
- Prep and serve hot and cold food in the cafeteria.
- Maintain safe food handling and storage practices.
- Expedite food to residents and staff on neighborhoods as needed.
- Professionally handle requests for neighborhood meals.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal delivery service.
- Support utility tasks as needed, including washing dishes, pots, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Operate the cash register in the cafeteria.
- Report and check out with the assistant manager/Manager on Duty prior to the end of shift.
Requirements
- Desire and ability to interact and build relationships with elders and care for their needs.
- Willingness to embrace and exemplify St. John's Brand Characteristics: respectful, friendly, responsive, compassionate, innovative, and fun.
- Food service experience preferred.
