About the Role
The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery (HVS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their cutting-edge clinical team. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance your skills in a state-of-the-art, surgery-exclusive veterinary hospital in Manhattan.
Responsibilities
- Induce, maintain, and recover patients under anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures
- Monitor and manage anesthetic depth, ventilators, IV fluids, and critical vitals in real-time
- Maintain anesthesia equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth daily OR flow
- Place and manage IV, arterial, and central lines with precision
- Work closely with our anesthesiologist to develop and execute patient-specific anesthetic protocols
- Contribute to a proactive, communicative OR culture where safety, teamwork, and efficiency go hand-in-hand
- Support surgical prep and patient handoffs to and from the ICU and outpatient teams
Requirements
- Licensure in New York State required
- 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
- Experience with practice management software (ezyVet is our in-house platform)
- Adaptability, being able to pivot effortlessly while demonstrating a positive attitude with clients and co-workers
- Expert time management skills
- Highly organized and acute attention to detail
- Openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning

- $7,500 sign-on bonus based on experience
