About the Role
We are hiring a Head of Engineering to lead and grow our engineering team. You will report directly to the CEO and be a core part of the leadership team. You will own the engineering org, hire the team that scales it, and work closely with the company leadership as we continue to build the product that powers our business. You will still stay close to the code and the product, but your primary job is building and running a team that builds and maintains our product.

- Build a World Class Engineering Culture: Recruit, interview, and screen candidates for the engineering team.
- Manage and grow the engineering team: Set expectations, hold one-on-ones, and enable a high-performing group of engineers.
- Set the engineering culture: Refine how the team works, reviews code, tests for quality, and ships changes.
- Advocate for and support agile software practices.
- Increase Engineering Velocity: Cut the time from customer problem to shipped code, leveraging AI.
- Implement AI in coding tools, code review, testing, migrations, and triage.
- Jump in and ship code when it unblocks the team, which may include taking on features, fixing test suites, or making critical decisions.
