About the Role

This foundational product role involves owning the evolution of Prism Core, a platform that runs on third-party AI models, RAG/hybrid search, and proprietary agents coordinated by an Epicor-built orchestrator. You will define which models and agents are available, oversee their evaluation and rollout, manage usage tracking and monetization, and ensure safety and security controls keep pace with platform growth. You will collaborate with product teams building on Prism Core and the engineers developing the services, prioritizing future development based on real demand and evidence.

Responsibilities

  • Own the orchestrator, deciding how requests are routed to third-party models or core agents and how this evolves.
  • Own responsible-AI and safety controls applied to every model and agent action.
  • Own the platform's security and access posture, including identity, access, and audit controls.
  • Own usage tracking and attribution across all products and customers running on Prism Core.
  • Own monetization, ensuring usage translates into accurate billing and pricing models.
  • Own model selection, deciding which third-party AI models are supported and how the roster changes.
  • Own the evaluation framework for testing new or updated models before they ship.
  • Own the platform's first-party core agents, ensuring they can be called upon by other product teams.
  • Partner with teams building on Prism to ensure shared services meet their needs and prioritize the roadmap based on cross-team demand.
  • Stay current on how other platforms handle model orchestration, guardrails, and usage-based billing, integrating useful approaches into the roadmap.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in product management, with a track record of shipping platform or infrastructure products.
  • 3+ years of experience with model orchestration, AI safety or guardrail systems, identity and billing infrastructure, or applied AI/agent products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Direct experience with model orchestration or gateway systems, AI safety and guardrail frameworks, identity providers, or usage-based billing systems is a strong plus.
  • Practical experience with prompt engineering, model evaluation, retrieval-based AI systems, and agent orchestration, ideally including using AI coding tools to prototype directly.
  • Working proficiency in a language such as Python or C#, enough to read system code, prototype, and work credibly with engineers.
  • Familiarity with OAuth/OIDC, API gateway design, and how modern AI systems connect to external tools and data.
  • Exposure to frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is a plus.
  • Previous ERP experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Prototype product concepts.
  • Strong product management fundamentals.
  • Real technical depth in platform infrastructure.
  • Applied AI knowledge.
  • Comfort with a fast-moving, hands-on way of working.
  • Understanding of governance and trust.

  • Leadership without formal authority.
