About the Role

St. John's University seeks adjunct professors to teach courses in Accounting, Economics, and Management & Marketing within the Division of Administration & Economics. The Fashion Studies Program provides students with knowledge, skills, and experiences to succeed in the industry, focusing on the business aspects of fashion. The Enterprise Regulation program focuses on fundamental business competencies for future managers, with a core curriculum in liberal arts and business law knowledge. Internships are an integral part of the programs, with guidance and mentoring provided by the St. John's Community.

Responsibilities

Cover financial accounting concepts for external and internal reporting.
Explain how financial information is communicated to stakeholders.
Teach topics such as the basic accounting framework, income reporting, financial position, cash flows, accruals, and financial statement elements.
Teach an introduction to the fundamentals of the economic system, including a macro-economic approach to employment, prices, and economic stability in the context of globalization.
Cover the fundamental tools of microeconomics, including individual decision-making and markets.
Provide students with a fundamental understanding of economic thinking and its application to real-world scenarios.
Instruct students on business principles, marketing research, advertising, and strategic management.
Introduce students to the problems and processes of management, with an emphasis on principles, practices, and executive functions.

Requirements

Master's degree required.
Industry experience is needed.
